About the Crime & Fire Log

The following entries contain reports of criminal incidents and alleged criminal incidents. This log does not include traffic accidents, medical responses, or general service/incident calls. Entries reflect all criminal incidents and alleged criminal incidents reported to the UCCS Police Department that occurred within the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs Clery Act geography, including on-campus property, residential facilities, and designated non-campus and adjacent public property areas. 

The crime log for the most recent 60-day period is open to public inspection, free of charge, upon request, during normal business hours at the UCCS Police Department, Gateway Hall, 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Dispatch: 719-255-3111.

Definitions of Crime & Fire Log Dispositions: The disposition of a case provides information about the current status of a case or investigation.

According to Federal Law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, i.e. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition if any of the following conditions apply:

  • The disclosure is prohibited by law
  • If disclosure would jeopardize the confidentially of the victim
  • If disclosure would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual
  • If disclosure would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection
  • If disclosure would result in the destruction of evidence

*The crime log is published each morning updating all incidents in the last 60 days. Please note, there may be a 24-to-48-hour delay of reports listed in the log based on the approval process of supervisors. UCCS Police Department may withhold release of incident if prohibited by law or if disclosure would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim.
